Elliot Lake Emergency Food Bank Inc. 50/50 RAFFLE - License #M884334 July to December 2025– RULES OF PLAY 1 A maximum of 1,000 tickets will be sold each draw. Price for tickets will be $10.00. The Following Prizes are to be awarded: 50% of proceeds from all tickets sold (Maximum Prize monthly is $5,000) 2. Draw will be held within 2 days after deadline to purchase at 9 AM at 23 Timber Rd, Elliot Lake, ON, P5A 2T1. 3. Deadline to purchase tickets will be 11:59 PM on the 28th day of each month. 4. Only tickets that have been paid for and/or have been verified as paid for are eligible to be entered for the respective draws. Payment can be made by cash only. 5. All prizes will be paid out by cheque only. Not Cash. 6. Winner does not have to be present to win as long as full contact information is included on the stub. If the winning ticket has no contact information a 2nd draw will occur immediately. Winners will be notified by phone or email using contact information provided on the ticket stub. 7. All purchasers of tickets, and all prize winners, must be at least 18 years of age. Tickets may not be advertised, offered for sale, sold or ordered from outside of Ontario. However, while they are in Ontario, residents of other countries or provinces may purchase raffle tickets sold under a licence issued in Ontario. 8. Board members, executives and employees of the Elliot Lake Emergency Food Bank (and family members living in their homes) are not eligible to purchase tickets or win any prizes. 9. Any person with a connection to the licensee, who has any involvement in the management and/or conduct of the licensed lottery event, is not eligible to purchase any tickets or win any prizes. 10. Draw will be made by any member of the Board of Directors of the Elliot Lake Emergency Food Bank Inc. This person is a neutral party who is not eligible to purchase tickets or win any prize and is over the age of 18. 11. Winnings will be awarded to the name on the ticket stub. 12. All eligible ticket stubs will be placed in a sealed box which will be turned over a minimum of 6 times. This process will be recorded and live Streamed on our Public Facebook page “Elliot Lake Emergency Food Bank Public site”. The winners first name and Initial of the last name will be posted on our Facebook page, Noted in the North Shore Bulletin and provided to local media outlets including The Standard, Elliot Lake Today and 94.1 Moose FM. 13. Draws will run for 6 months from July 14, 2025, to December 31st, 2025. Each draw will consist of 1,000 tickets at a value of $10 per ticket – Maximum winnings per month is $5,000 if all tickets are sold. Draw will occur at 9 AM on the 30th of each month. 14. All tickets purchased for each draw become null and void for future draws after the winner is picked. Only tickets purchased during the month of the draw are eligible for that month’s draw. 15. Lottery license states the number of draws that are to take place for this lottery event. No other draws may take place. Prizes can not be back to the licensee. 16. Value of winnings is based solely on 50% of the number of tickets sold by the closing date of each month. Neither the licensee nor the licensing authority is responsible for any change in value. 17. As this raffle is a 50/50 draw, the purchaser must be present at the draw in order to collect his or her prize if the contact information is not written on the stub provided. If this occurs a 2nd draw will occur immediately. If the holder of the winning ticket number is not present when the number is drawn, the licensee must draw another ticket and continue to draw until the prize has been won. If contact information is available, the winner will be called or notified electronically. 18. Contact info for all winners will be shared with the licensing authority. Contact info for all other ticket purchasers may be shared with the licensing authority. 19. Any prize not claimed will be secured for a period of one month from the date of the draw. Every reasonable effort to contact the winner will be made, including attempting to locate the winner using the contact information provided on the ticket stub, by sending a registered letter and contacting the individual. If the winner cannot be reached, the licensee must advertise in local newspapers, radio stations and or licensee’s official website within 120 days following the draw, setting out a list of the names and city of residence of all winners of any unclaimed prizes. Any prize not claimed after six months will be donated to a beneficiary approved by the licensing authority. 20. The designated members-in-charge, and their family members must not purchase tickets or be eligible to win any prize. 21. Designated two (2) bona fide, active members of the licensee to be in charge of, and responsible for, the conduct of the raffle.
