We Make Getting Food Easy For YouAnyone in need of food and living in Elliot Lake and Spragge is eligible to use the food bank. When you visit us, the intake coordinator will ask to see some identification and documentation that shows you are a resident.
What You Can Expect as a Food Bank ClientThe Elliot Lake Emergency Food Bank is run by volunteers who collect food, stock shelves and support clients by packing food. Our clients are welcomed with respect.

FAQ1. What kinds of food will I receive? You will receive nutritious food on each visit. This will include both canned/packaged food and fresh food like milk and bread. 2. Can I choose the food I need? We provide food for each member of your family that registers. We try to offer choices and a variety of food based on Canada’s Food Guide. Clients can choose from non-perishable items with the assistance of our volunteers. 3. Will I feel embarrassed visiting a food bank? All clients are treated with dignity and respect. We speak to you privately and confidentially. Clients are expected to treat our staff and volunteers with the same courtesy and understanding. 4. How frequently can I visit the food bank? As an emergency food bank our clients are allowed one (1) visit every 30 days. |
