Food donations

You can help maximize the Elliot Lake Emergency Food Bank’s (ELEFB) resources by dropping off non-perishable foods at our 29 Columbia Walk location  during hours of operation.  Food donations can also be made at several other locations throughout Elliot Lake.

​During Covid-19 period, the Elliot Lake Emergency Food Bank Inc. as per Algoma Health Unit Guidelines would request that food donations not be accepted. 
In lieu of food donations, cash donations are appreciated!

Financial Donations

Donate to Help Fight Hunger and Feed Hope
​Only with your on-going support will we be successful in the fight against hunger in our community. The ELEFB relies on individual, corporate and foundation support to help feed people in need, educate the public about hunger issues and address the root causes of hunger. We do not receive any guaranteed government funding. Your support is critical in our bid to end hunger in our community.

All donated foods are eligible for tax receipts (as gift-in-kind donations) should they adhere to the Tax Receipt Policy below. 
How to Make a Monetary Donation 
You can donate:
  • on-line through the Canada Helps link
  • ​​​in person at the ELEBF (see address below)
  • e-transfer with your financial institution, to:       elfoodbankinc@gmail.com. Please insert return address in comments if official Income Tax Receipt is required.
  • or by mail, forwarding your cheque, money order or bank draft made out to the Elliot Lake Emergency Food Bank, Inc. at:
